Malum rose from the ashes as a brand new entity in the Norwegian underground scene. Their prime directive is raw, atmospheric and melodic black metal — with a sound rooted in the bleak traditions of the second wave of black metal, and shaped by modern existentialism and nihilism.
Dark Essence Records has welcomed Norwegian Black Metal band Malum to their roster, and is ready to release the band’s second full-length album in the spring of 2026. The Oslo-based band is known for their fierce, uncompromising and dark black metal. Malum was formed in 2020 and has since released two EPs, one full-length and performed at festivals and venues like Inferno, Unholy Congregation IV, Sort Messe, John Dee, Hulen and Tribute.
