In May 2025, the debut album from the Oslo-based post metal band Feversea, “Man Under Erasure”, was released. Right after, they wrote and recorded some new tracks in a slightly different direction, and these are released on this digital only EP, ‘Wormwood in the Veins of the World’.
Forty years since the Chernobyl disaster, eighty-one since Hiroshima, hundreds since the first fumes of industrialization and countless since Cain slew his brother to impress an indifferent God, Man is still a poisonous animal. Our gall has spilled into the world, eroding the brittle ground that shelters us from extinction. No disasters are averted, no resentments quelled, they only pile up on the pathetic scrap heap we call history. In our quest for power, we have signed away our future to different masters, accumulating a debt we cannot repay. Our demise is soundly ensured. What remains is waiting for the end, and likely not for long.

“Wormwood in the Veins of the World” represents Feversea’s continued post-metal-tinged sonic exploration and genre blending. Drawing this time on hardcore and alternative rock, the EP delivers four fast-paced, concise songs.
